Recent research conducted by Anatoly Frenkel, professor of physics at Stern College for Women, together with scientists at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Brookhaven National Laboratory and the University of Delaware, was featured in "Catalyst Boosts Ethanol Fuel Cells" on ChemicalProcessing.com. The team discovered a new electrocatalyst that enhances the prospects for ethanol-powered fuel cells. The research is published in Nature Materials Vol. 8, April 2009.

Peter L. Markowitz, clinical assistant professor of law and director of the Immigration Justice Clinic at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, was quoted about recent immigration raids by the government in 'Target of Immigrant Raids Shifted,' published in the New York Times (Feb. 3, 2009).

News of Richard Weisberg, the Walter Floersheimer Professor of Constitutional Law at Cardozo School of Law, receiving the French National Order of the Legion of Honor by French President Nicolas Sarkozy was reported in 'French honor for local law professor' in the NY Daily News (Feb 2, 2009). The news was also announced in the City Room blog of the New York Times.
