Haym Soloveitchik Participates in IAS Meeting of the Minds

Dr. Haym Soloveitchik, professor of Jewish history and literature at Yeshiva University, participated in a meeting of current and former directors of the five schools of the prestigious Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS) at The Hebrew University. The gathering consisted of Kenneth Arrow, former director of the School of Economics (1972 Nobel Prize, economics); Eric Maskin, current director of the School of Economics (2007 Nobel Prize, economics); David Gross, director of the School of Physics (2004 Nobel Prize, physics); Roger Kornberg, director of the School of Life Sciences (2006 Nobel Prize, chemistry); Peter Sarnak, director of the School of Mathematics; and Eliezer Rabinovici, director of the IAS. Dr. Soloveitchik is the director of the IAS School of Jewish Studies and Comparative Religion and is a faculty member at the Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies at YU.
