Dr. Lee Manion, assistant professor of English at Stern College for Women, recently traveled to the annual meeting of the Medieval Academy of America in St. Louis, MO to receive the Van Courtlandt Elliott Prize for 2012 for the best article published by a first-time author in the area of medieval studies. The winning article, “The Loss of the Holy Land and Sir Isumbras: Literary Contributions to Fourteenth-Century Crusade Discourse,” appeared in the January 2010 issue of Speculum.
