Hughes and Ravicher Among Top 50 Most Influential in IP

Justin Hughes, professor of law at Yeshiva University's Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, and Daniel Ravicher, lecturer-in-law at Cardozo, were recently named to the Managing Intellectual Property list of “The 50 Most Influential People in IP.”  Hughes and Ravicher were two of only three professors selected to the list of people shaping the  intellectual property industry worldwide.   The list states that “Like an American superhero, Justin Hughes has two identities. By day he is a popular professor at Cardozo Law School. By night, he is transformed into senior advisor to the Undersecretary of Commerce for intellectual property, focusing on copyright issues.”   It calls Daniel Ravicher “a lawyer who often finds himself fighting giant biotech companies like Myriad and Monsanto (Organic Seed Growers and Trade Association v Monsanto) and drugmakers like Johnson & Johnson (Public Patent Foundation v. McNeill-PPC).”
