Goswami64174B-13Dr. Sumanta Goswami, associate professor of biology at Yeshiva College, coauthored a patent that was recently approved and published by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The patent, which expires on July 1, 2029, centers on a new diagnostic test that would significantly impact the way breast cancer and potentially other solid tumors are diagnosed and treated. The test will especially benefit patients with multiple forms of cancer, whose needs are currently not being met.
