Shatz Receives Shared Grant from John Templeton Foundation and University of Chicago

david shatzDr. David Shatz, University Professor of Philosophy, Ethics and Religious Thought at Stern College for Women, is part of a group funded by a grant from  the John Templeton Foundation and by the University of Chicago on "Virtue, Happiness, and the Meaning of Life." The group consists of an international team of 30 scholars in philosophy, psychology, and religious studies.  Over the next two years, Shatz will write papers for each of four meetings of the group - his research project is titled "The Complexities of Humility: The Case of Religion."
