Cohen Publishes Book on Prospective Memory

Cohen_Anna-Lisa_520Dr. Anna-Lisa Cohen, associate professor of psychology, has written a new book which will be released in November, co-written with Dr. Jason Hicks titled Prospective Memory: Remembering to Remember, Remembering to Forget  (published by Springer Nature). Although we typically think of memory as oriented to the past, prospective memory pertains to remembering to carry out intentions or actions in the future.  These future intentions can be as banal as remembering to turn off a cell phone before a meeting or more critical such as a surgeon needing to remember to remove an instrument before closing an incision. The book offers an overview of some of the latest and most compelling findings in the field of prospective memory.
