Fitzgerald Gives Keynote Address

Fitzgerald_Lauren_KeynoteDr. Lauren Fitzgerald, professor of English, chair of the Yeshiva College English department and director of the University's Wilf Writing Center, gave the keynote address at the National Conference on Peer Tutoring in Writing on October 14 at Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY. The address, presented with Dr. Melissa Ianetta, professor at the University of Delaware, was “Tutors Front and Center: How the Writing Center Works.” The talk was about undergraduates who conducted research and worked in writing centers around the country. In addition, Dr. Fitzgerald and Dr. Ianetta were recently interviewed about their book, The Oxford Guide for Writing Tutors: Practice and Research, for WLN: A Journal for Writing Center Scholarship, an online publication for exchanging ideas and information about writing centers in high schools, colleges and universities.
