Information on the Summer Course in St. Petersburg

Prof. Cwilich, Prof. Zypman, and Prof. Val Vinokur of the New School discussed the details of this year's Honors summer courses and trip to St. Petersburg. For more details, check out the video of the discussion and the slideshow included below, and submit the form if you want to attend. In summary, the course will take place during the first summer session at YU, beginning on May 27th. There will be 3 weeks of class, excluding the week of shavuot. The trip will be for two weeks following the class time in New York, approximately leaving 6/22 and returning 7/6. The program will consist of two parts: one literature course by Prof. Vinokur in INTC entitled "Literary Petersburg: The Mind in the City, in a City of the Mind"; and one science course taught together by Prof. Zypman and Prof. Cwilich in Frontiers of Science entitled "St. Petersburg in Science and Technology: From ATOM to KOCMOC". If you are interested in coming, please submit the form included below to YCHonors@yu.edu. This year it will be especially difficult to accept students who request to join the course late, as we will need visas to enter Russia and the application process can be lengthy. We look forward to hearing from you with any questions or concerns about the trip.
