4/29/14 5:30 PM – Update GG

The Banner systems are back operational after the upgrade was completed over the weekend. Users can access most functions and can resume normal operations.

If you are a Banner user who accesses INB Banner you will need to access it through the website banner.yu.edu until we are able to restore access from within Inside Track. Go to the Production tab and select Run Banner. Also, if you have trouble with your password or launching INB Banner from your desktop via Internet Explorer, the problem is likely with your version of Java. Contact the ITS Helpdesk at helpdesk@yu.edu and they will either reset your password or walk you through the process to correct your java setting.

 TSWEB users: Please Note the first time you access Banner via TSWEB you may experience a 5-10 minute delay. This is normal and you should be prompted for your Banner/Oracle login and password

 There may be other directions for specific users of various Banner functions during this restart, but if you encounter any problems please contact the ITS Helpdesk.

R25 is back fully operational with R25 database access, operational reports, and the WebViewers now working.

R25 is currently down (or severely limited) due to it being part of the Banner production database which is being upgraded starting yesterday through Monday.  R25 is expected to come back sometime on Sunday.

Users with advanced access can access R25 for event and space searches but cannot run reports or update or add events until it comes back fully. Also the WebViewers are returning errors due to being unable to access the R25 database.

4/23/14  6:10pm – Update RR

The University is upgrading its administrative Banner systems. As part of this effort, all Banner systems will be off-line for the upgrade beginning Thursday, April 24 at 7:00 PM through Tuesday, April 29 at 8:00 AM.

The upgrade will have benefits of enhanced functionality across most administrative modules. Additional communication from various offices will be forthcoming for Banner users and other people affected by this outage.

*NOTE* For people who need access to information in Banner from Friday through Monday, BANDAILY will be cloned from BANPROD tomorrow at 7:00 PM so will have the latest information. However, no transactions should be recorded in BANDAILY since it is a non-production instance and will be refreshed from BANPROD after the upgrade.
