Public Advocate de Blasio Meets with President Joel, Tours Yeshiva Campus Bill de Blasio, public advocate for the City of New York, visited Yeshiva University on Thursday, November 29, 2012. De Blasio, a 2013 New York City mayoral candidate, was greeted by Yeshiva University President Richard M. Joel and Vice President for Administrative Services Jeffrey Rosengarten. Together they toured the campus and spoke with students and faculty, including Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Hershel Schachter in YU’s Glueck Beit Midrash.
