Top Entrepreneurs Provide Inside Scoop to Israel's Economic Success at Sy Syms Oct. 24 Event

Yeshiva University's Sy Syms School of Business will launch its newly developed "Leading with Meaning" initiative with an event titled "Understanding Israeli Entrepreneurial Success" on Wednesday, October 24 beginning at 6 p.m. at the offices of PricewaterhouseCoopers, 300 Madison Avenue, New York, NY. At the event, a collection of Israel's top entrepreneurs and venture capitalists will give students and alumni the inside scoop on the secrets to Israel's economic success. "Israel is known as the Silicon Valley of the Middle East for creating a booming economy with tremendous growth in various industries, including unprecedented advances and returns in high-tech, biotech and cleantech. We will be hearing from an impressive group of experts from various fields who will help us deconstruct the exceptional achievements of the Start-Up Nation," said Charles Harary, director of the Leading with Meaning program. "In addition to providing an excellent networking opportunity for the YU community, we hope to also impart a better understanding of the Israeli economy, specifically why it presents a unique opportunity for entrepreneurial success." The list of speakers will include Jon Medved, a venture capitalist and CEO of OurCrowd; Nadav Kidron, CEO of Oramed Pharmaceuticals; J.J. Sussman, a former investment banker and a partner at Lemon Tree Associates; Marc Rosenbaum, a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers; and Nili Shalev, Israeli Economic Minister to North America. The event is sponsored by Avram Blumenthal in memory of his parents, Bernard and May Blumenthal z'l. For more information or to register, please visit www.yu.edu/syms/israel.
