YU Apps Win Digital Marketing Awards

"Cardozo Life" and "This is Yeshiva University" Receive Gold and Silver for Mobile Media Two of Yeshiva University’s mobile applications have been recognized as winners in the Higher Education Marketing Report's 2013 Education Digital Marketing Awards. Created for the iPad, “Cardozo Life” won the gold award for Mobile Media and "This Is Yeshiva University" received the silver award for Mobile Media . app“YU is among the first higher-ed institutions to produce interactive publications specifically designed for the tablet,” said Judy Tashji, creative director in YU’s office of Communications and Public Affairs. “I'm thrilled that our department has been recognized with these awards. The iPad apps are free—along with our new smartphone app, 'YU Mobile.' ”Cardozo Life,” the magazine of YU’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, reports on the school’s activities, faculty and alumni, and includes interviews, articles and insights about current issues and compelling legal topics. Users can scroll stories, watch videos and share information to connect to Cardozo in a full interactive experience. Last month, Michael Scagnoli, YU’s executive director in the office of Communications and Public Affairs, spoke at the Annual Meeting of the Association of American Law Schools, where he highlighted the Cardozo Life app in his speech on "Phone Apps: Do You Have One? Do You Need One?" “Yeshiva is a truly unique place, and we want to share the YU story and experience in innovative ways," said Scagnoli. "Most importantly, we want to provide news, resources and entertainment wherever our audience goes, and our mobile apps create that connection.” “This Is Yeshiva University” offers a concise, visual overview of the school. Users can tour YU’s undergraduate and graduate schools, learn about the university’s history and the exciting activities taking place on campus. From interactive maps to videos and photo galleries, users can get acquainted with YU through this innovative publication.
