YU Delegation Goes to AIPAC

The Yeshiva University Political Action Club (YUPAC) headed a delegation of 30 undergraduate students to the annual policy conference convened by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), held in Washington, D.C., from Sunday, March 24, to Tuesday, March 26, 2019. At the conference, YU students had the chance to engage with experts and politicians on matters pertaining to the relationship between the United States and Israel. In addition, they met with their elected officials, listened to experts in the field and networked with 18,000 conference participants from around the world. On Sunday, Jake Benyowitz ’20YC, YUPAC co-president, represented Yeshiva University at the college fair, attended by hundreds of high school students. Students also heard from Gloria M. Garcés, senior director of  media and outreach for Fuente Latina, a nonprofit and non-governmental organization working to remove geographic and linguistic barriers for global Spanish language media covering stories on Israel and the Middle East. Meeting with Garcés was one of many interactions our students had with participants at the conference.
