YU's Sy Syms School of Business Kicks Off Annual CEO Lecture Series

-- Yeshiva University is celebrating 10 years of the Doris & Dr. Ira Kukin Entrepreneurial Lecture Series at the Sy Syms School of Business, which began Feb. 4 with a talk by Marco Zarikian, CEO of Hotel Eurobuilding Internacional (Venezuela). All lectures but one take place Fridays at 10 am in the Levy Lounge at 215 Lexington Avenue on YU’s Israel Henry Beren Campus in Midtown Manhattan. The Wednesday, March 30 lecture takes place at 8 pm in Levy Lounge. In addition to Mr. Zarikian, this year’s lineup of speakers features the following business leaders: Alan “Ace” Greenberg – Bear Sterns (Feb. 11), Michael C. Palitz – Financial Federal (Feb. 18), Josh Weston – Automatic Data Processing (Feb. 25), Arthur Ainsberg – Nomura Securities (March 4), Jessica Bibliowicz – National Financial Partners (March 11), Leon Cooperman – Omega Advisors (March 30), Jozef Straus – JDS Uniphase (April 1), Steven H. Krein – Finishrich Media (April 8), and Ian Gittlitz (May 6). Additionally, on April 15 a panel consisting of Jeff Himmel – Himmel Group, Chris Johnson – Johnson & Johnson, Jim Kelly – Combe, Inc., and Tom Bendheim – Rheingold Brewing Co., will speak about the process of reintroducing to the marketplace once-familiar brands such as Ovaltine, St. Joseph’s aspirin, and New York’s own Rheingold Beer, among others. Past visitors to Syms’ Kukin Lecture Series include Warren Eisenberg of Bed, Bath & Beyond; Wick Simmons of Nasdaq; Abby Joseph Cohen of Goldman Sachs; Adam Slutsky of AOL Moviefone; Joel Mael of the Florida Marlins; David Neeleman of JetBlue Airways; Robert Tisch of Loews Corporation; Mary Farrell of UBS Warburg; and Sumner Redstone of Viacom.
