Revel to Host Conference on Israel in Time and Space

israel flagThe Yeshiva University Center for Israel Studies and the Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies invite graduate students and advanced undergraduate students to join us for a day of learning, community building and professional growth. This conference will explore Israel from a variety of disciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives. Graduate students from different universities will present papers addressing Israel in rabbinic memory, Israel in artistic representation, and Israel from the perspective of modern diaspora thinkers. Respondents will include Yeshiva University faculty in the fields of visual studies, philosophy, history and Jewish studies.

Keynote speaker Dr. Yael Zerubavel of Rutgers University Speaking on the topic, “Israel, Cultural Memory, and the Transformations of a National Tradition.”
