#WeMetAtYU: Tu B’av 5776 Alumni Love Stories

Facebook post for Tu B'avTu B’Av has long been celebrated as a joyous festival in the Jewish calendar, marked by matchmaking and merriment. This year, Tu B’Av takes place on Friday, August 19 (beginning the evening of August 18) and the Yeshiva University Office of Alumni Affairs wants to celebrate your stories of love that began here at YU! Alumni have been submitting their stories and photos, like Esther Stock (then Esther Stiefel), editor-in-chief of The Observer in the 1980s, who met her husband, The Commentator’s executive editor, Jeffrey Stock, after she published an editorial criticizing the editorial board of The Commentator. Barbara Radinsky met her husband, David, at the Stern Junior Class Chagiga in November 1963, and Ari Lewis of Maccabeat fame met Shira Sragow at the YU Seforim Sale. We’d love to hear your tale of love too, so please email a photo of you and your spouse to alumni@yu.edu to be featured in our Tu B'av #wemetatYU series! We’ll be accepting submissions here until August 10. Like us on Facebook to see the submissions posted the week of August 15-19!
