Jeffrey Gurock Elected to American Academy for Jewish Research

Dr. Jeffrey S. Gurock, the Libby M. Klaperman Professor of Jewish History, has been elected a fellow of the American Academy for Jewish Research, the oldest professional organization of Judaica scholars in North America. Prof. Gurock joins a distinguished group of University faculty who are members of the academy, including former academy president and former Revel dean, Dr. Arthur Hyman; Dr. David Berger, current Revel dean; Dr. Richard C. Steiner, professor of Semitic languages and literatures at Revel; Dr. Ephraim Karnafogel, the E. Billi Ivry Professor of Jewish History at Stern College and professor at Revel; and Dr. Louis Feldman, the Abraham Wouk Family Professor of Classics and Literature at Yeshiva College.
