Dr. Sheldon R. Gelman Dr. Sheldon R. Gelman (left), the Dorothy and David I. Schachne Dean of Wurweiler School of Social Work, recently served as a panelist along with Dr. Peter B. Vaughn, dean of Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service, and Dr. Richard L. Edwards, dean of Rutgers University School of Social Work, at the 26th Annual Symposium for New York Area Field Educators on “Challenges and Opportunities in Field Education.” Dean Gelman also served on a panel along with Jeanette Takamura, dean of Columbia’s School of Social Work, and Grover Gilmore, dean of Case Western Reserve’s Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at the New York Academy of Medicine’s Leadership Academy in Aging on “The Dean’s Leadership Role in the Community.”
