Strug and Kosak at YIVO Conference

Dr. David Strug, professor of social work and social welfare at Wurzweiler School of Social Work, was a featured presenter at YIVO Institute for Jewish Research's public conference on New York and the American Jewish Experience on November 2, 2009. The conference celebrated the history of Jewish life in the New York area, emphasizing the achievements of Jewish communal organizations, and highlighted the treasures of Jewish archives. Dr. Strug's session was on The Role of the New York Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society in the Child Welfare Cuban Refugee Service Program. Dr. Hadassah Kosak, associate professor of history at Stern College for Women moderated a session on Media, the Arts and the Jewish Communal Agenda.
