Zimmerman to Deliver Lectures on Recent Book

joshzimmermanDr. Joshua Zimmerman, Eli and Diana Zborowski Chair in Holocaust Studies and East European Jewish History, will deliver three upcoming lectures focusing on his recent book, The Polish Underground and the Jews: 1939-1945, which uses a variety of archival documents, testimonies, and memoirs to offer a careful, dispassionate analysis of the Polish Underground's varied reactions to the catastrophe that befell European Jewry. The first will take place at Ramapo College on Wednesday, March 9 at 7:00 p.m. in the Trustees Pavilion and is titled "The Polish Underground and the Jews, 1939-1945." The second, "Rethinking the Polish Underground and the Jews During the Holocaust," will take place on Thursday, March 17 at 4:15 p.m. at Harvard University's Busch Hall. Zimmerman will also deliver the annual Yom HaShoah lecture at Queens College on Thursday, May 12 at 7:15 p.m. in the Rosenthal Library, titled "The Polish Underground and the Jews, 1939-1945."
