shalomholtzDr. Shalom Holtz, associate professor of Bible and chair of the Robert M. Beren Department of Jewish Studies at Yeshiva College, recently delivered two lectures. The first, “Seeing God as Refuge in the Psalms,” was an illustrated talk at the Jewish Community Center in Greenwich, Connecticut, in which Holtz explored the connection between God and the Temple as a refuge through the text of Psalms and Middle Eastern artifacts.

The second, “Life After Churban and Exile: Fascinating Discoveries From the First Temple Jewish Diaspora,” was delivered as part of the Young Israel of Stamford Family Beit Midrash Program, a weekly program that offers classes for adults or the opportunity to learn the Jewish topic or text with a chavruta.
