Fine Publication Subject of Symposium

Fine_Steven_HebrewPosterDr. Steven Fine’s The Menorah: From the Bible to Modern Israel (Harvard, 2016) will be the subject of a symposium at The Hebrew University, MA Program in Folklore and Popular Culture on Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Fine is the Dean Pinkhos Churgin Professor of Jewish History at Yeshiva University and director of the YU Center for Israel Studies. The program will take place from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the Rabin Building, Room 3001 on the Mt. Scopus Campus. Fine’s book will be discussed by Dr. Esther Juhasz (Achva College and Hebrew University) and Dr. Haim Weiss (Ben-Gurion University of the Negev), and chaired by Prof. Hagar Salomon (Hebrew University). The program will take place in Hebrew.
