Sokolow Has Book Launch

Dr. Moshe Sokolow, Fanya Gottesfeld-Heller Professor of Jewish Education and associate dean of the Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and Administration, had a book launch on Sunday, Nov. 4, at the Lincoln Square Synagogue for his new book, Reading the Rav: Exploring Religious Themes in the Thought of Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik, published by Kodesh Press. Dr. Sokolow collected fourteen articles and essays about how Rabbi Soloveitchik understood ideas central to Jewish life. He wove  in Talmudic, traditional, and modern sources to provide the reader with a deeper understanding of the Rav’s positions and a broader grasp of the full range of Jewish approaches to these fundamental questions.
