Dr. Catherine DeLazzeroDr. Catherine DeLazzero, clinical associate professor of writing at the Katz School of Science and Health, delivered the Mead Swing Lecture called “A Religious Ethical Approach to Writing” on March 6, 2019, at Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio.

In the lecture, she described components of a religious ethical approach to writing, the value of writing with an intense focus on ethics and strategies writers may use to engage the ethical imagination and align their intentions and actions during the writing process. “I tried to provide practical examples to illustrate what’s possible when we envision religious ethics and writing as symbiotic and mutually reinforcing.”
