Tufts on Cancer and Pharmaceuticals

Bob Tufts, Professor in ManagementRobert Tufts, clinical assistant arofessor of the Strategy and Entrepreneurship Department at Sy Syms School of Business, was the master of ceremonies and a facilitator at Pat’s Myeloma Survival School in Atlanta, Georgia. The event was a grassroots training and information conducted in coordination with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to provide “a range of educational presentations on survivorship, bone and kidney health, financial resources, communicating with your healthcare provider, physical therapy, stem cell transplantation, new treatments and clinical trials.” Tufts also was a contributor in the development of a white paper for BioNJ titled “A Framework For Understanding The Value Of Medical Innovation.” The paper was presented at the BIO International Convention in Philadelphia in June 2019. According to a press release, the paper “outlines a structure for innovator companies to assess and demonstrate ‘Differential Value’ for a medical innovation prior to bringing it to market.”
