This week’s luncheon featured a special guest speaker, Victoria Neznansky, Chief Program Director of the YMHA of Washington Heights, who told us about the musical she organized, exploring the story of the Jewish settlement in Sosua, Dominican Republic during World War II. It was wonderful to hear how Jewish and Dominican teens from this community were being brought together by this instance of common history. We’re trying to arrange a trip to see this performance in the spring, but, for now, please take a look at this short video explaining the project:
