President Joel Presented with Pirchei Yitzchak

This past week, Meir Finkelstein ('13) and Dovid Schwartz ('13) presented a copy of the inaugural edition of Pirchei Yitzchak to YU President Richard Joel. The two Seniors founded Pirchei Yitzchak, modeled after Yeshiva University's Beis Yitzchak, last year as their Capstone Project for Honors College. Pirchei Yitzchak is an all Hebrew Torah journal, with articles written by MTA students and Rebbeim. Meir and Dovid were responsible for all aspects of the publication, from collecting the articles to meeting with the publisher. While Pirchei Yitzchak focuses on the massechta that the yeshiva learns during the year, it contains articles of all types. For example, one student wrote about the interplay between science and Torah. The next issue is scheduled to come out on Massseches Bava Metzia sometime later this year.
