Varsity Hockey Dominates HANC - Ami Rosenfeld Scores (Possibly) Quickest Hat Trick In Yeshiva League History

The Varsity Lions dominated the HANC Hurricane, a top team in the Eastern Conference, on Thursday night. Coming off a 10-0 victory earlier in the week against the Heschel Heat (see below), the Lions set the tone early, controlling play and keeping the ball in HANC's zone for almost the entirety of the first period. The Lions had chance after chance, but they could not find the back of the net. The first period ended still tied at 0-0.

MTA then went on a scoring rampage in the second period. Dovid Boim put one in with help from line-mate and assistant captain, Ezra Quint.  Then, Captain Ami Rosenfeld worked his magic, scoring possibly the quickest hat trick in Yeshiva League history. His three goals came less than sixteen seconds apart, and gave the Lions a commanding 4-0 lead. The domination continued in the third period as Boim scored his second goal from behind the goal line. To finish of the scoring, the Markowitz twins, Captain Zev and Azriel, each scored. MTA improved to 5-2 and looks to continue its winning ways as the second half of the season begins Wednesday night against the Frisch Cougars in The Lion's Den.
