Last Wednesday, the Class of 2017 set off on a two day trip full of fun, excitement, and anticipation. And the trip did not disappoint, as the grade was kept busy with all-day programming and fun activities. The annual sophomore trip started off with a sports tournament at Danbury Sports Dome, which included football, ultimate frisbee, kickball, dodgeball, and even bubble soccer. Some teachers also joined the fun, and students throughout the trip were able to build relationships with rebbeim, teachers, and administrators outside the classroom. Immediately following the dome, the grade headed to Bounce in Poughkeepsie, where they jumped, flipped, dunked, and just had a great time. They then stopped at a local shul for maariv and dinner, followed by rollerblading, laser tag and bumper cars at yet another facility. Finally, they arrived at the luxurious Pine Grove Family Dude Ranch for some learning, a barbecue, swimming and an awesome bonfire. The next day, after davening and learning, students had options to play paintball, go horseback riding, snow tubing, and/or to jut relax in the hotel in the hotel. The Class of 2017 returned to MTA exhausted, but thankful for the great fun they shared with friends and teachers. A big thank you is due to Rabbi Green, Mr. Gillers, and the student council for spending so much time planning this phenomenal trip.
