Last Wednesday, the students in Meet the Israeli Author course met with last year’s graduates from the program. The alumni went through storytelling 101 and related their advice and experiences. They learned that stories need problems and solutions, they need to be factually accurate, and they need to have compelling openings. Although techniques and plot development were discussed, the current students of the program learned that if you put in a lot of effort, the success would be that much better. The students plan to internalize the lessons they learned in order to develop great and compelling short stories.
