Presidential Debate Takes Place at MTA

by Akiva Richman ('19) 93ad3fb4-9c80-40cf-b187-9a90b26c8ddb This past Monday, the MTA students gathered in Lamport Auditorium to hear an informative political debate arranged by Mrs. Levitt and Shua Brick ('11). The debate helped prepare the students for the Presidential election that would take place the next day. With Avi Strauss representing the Republican Party and Yehuda Goldberg ('17) representing the Democratic Party, the students were able to learn about the positions of the two parties on various issues. Some of these issues included health care, immigration, and the riots that have been taking place due to police shootings. Both Avi and Yehuda had two minutes to answer each question and present their party's position on each issue. Thank you to the faculty and students who prepared the questions for the debaters, and to everyone else involved.
