JV Basketball Continues Hot Streak and Stays Undefeated

by Eitan Warburg ('19) Building on the momentum of an 18 point win against JEC, the JV Lions brought their talents down to Deal, New Jersey to take on the Hillel Heat. The Lions started off slow, trailing Hillel by three points at the end of the first quarter. After an early three pointer in the second quarter by Eitan Warburg, the Lions took the lead and never looked back. Led by some sensational blocks by break out star Isaiah Anderson ('19), the Lions followed his lead and played some incredible defense. The Lions won the game by a score of 59-31. The victory was a great team effort, with every member of the team contributing. The Lions continued their winning ways two days later as they hosted the SAR Sting in their season home opener. The Lions led the game from the start, thanks to a great shooting performance by Eitan Pfeiffer ('19). Eitan finished the game with 33 points as the MTA Lions went on to win 60-43. The Lions look to keep their undefeated season alive as they take on the Kushner Cobras on Tuesday, November 29th.
