Torah Bowl Dominates at Heichal

by Shua Pariser ('20) This past Monday, the MTA Torah Bowl team had their second meet of the season, hosted by Heichal HaTorah in Teaneck. The participating schools were Ramaz, SAR, Heichal, and MTA. We started off with a delicious pizza lunch sponsored by Heichal, after which we met all of our competitors and began our contests. In the first matchup, MTA took on the host school Heichal and took the victory. We then played Ramaz and although few questions were answered in all, MTA came out on top by a final score of 5-2. The next game was an automatic win because SAR had to withdraw from the meet. We were then able to continue our streak with another win against Heichal, setting the stage for the final game, a rematch against Ramaz. This time, we won more easily, coming out on top by a final score of 12-3. After all was said and done, MTA emerged from the meet with an undefeated record after a stellar performance. Congratulations to the Torah Bowl team on their victory, and a special congratulations to their coach, Rabbi Pearl!
