MTA Soccer Lions Outscore Ramaz Rams

By: Kovi Pahmer (‘20) On Monday, May 7th, the MTA Soccer Lions faced the Ramaz Rams, their most challenging opponents yet. The game started off with MTA scoring three goals right away. Ramaz then scored to end off the first quarter 3-1. The Second quarter was big for MTA and they scored four goals without giving up any to Ramaz’s tough offense. In the third quarter Ramaz scored again, which Daniel Libesman (‘18) responded to by scoring right off the kickoff.  In total, the Lions scored another five goals during this quarter, ending the game by mercying Ramaz. MTA ended up winning 12-2. MTA’s goalie, Eitan Pfeiffer(‘19) played excellently, blocking countless shots. Daniel Libesman (‘18) was the top scorer with six goals, getting his goal count to an impressive 114 career goals. The next two highest scorers were Maton Alon (‘18) with two and Hudy Weiss (‘19) with one.  The Lions played an outstanding and superb defense, making it their best defensive game yet. This game added to the Lions’ undefeated season, which will hopefully continue.
