MTA Varsity Hockey Lions Defend The Den With A Win Against RTMA

By: Shua Pariser (‘20) Last night, the MTA Varsity Hockey Lions took on the RTMA Thunder in the Lions’ Den.  Face off was dropped and the game began. The Lions were battling and no goals were scored in the first period.  Around five minutes into the second period, RTMA scored, bringing the score to 1-0. RTMA called a time out and MTA Coach Yoni Stone worked his magic as he strategized with the team.  The game started up again and Ephraim Landa (‘19) rose to the challenge and scored MTA’s first goal of the night to tie the score 1-1. MTA continued on the offensive for four more minutes.  Yaron Kahan (‘19) had an assist on MTA’s second goal of the night, which was scored by Binyamin Friedman (‘20). The period ended with MTA in the lead 2-1. The third period started and just two minutes in, Daniel “D” Landa (‘19) scored MTA’s third and final goal of the game.  With a score of 3-1, MTA came away with the win.
