MTA Hosts Incredible Queens Shabbaton

By: Akiva Richman (‘19)

As a yeshiva that consists of talmidim from many different communities, MTA hosts Shabbos programming in various communities throughout the year.  On November 30th - December 1st, MTA hosted an amazing Shabbaton in Queens, with more than 50 talmidim from across New York and New Jersey in attendance.  With beautiful minyanim at the Young Israel of Kew Gardens Hills, followed by lively seudas filled with delicious food, zemiros, and inspirational divrei Torah, as well as a Tisch led by Yeshiva of Central Queens (YCQ) rebbe Rabbi Ophie Nat, everyone enjoyed an incredible and uplifting Shabbos with friends and rebbeim.  “Shabbatons like this are the perfect way to promote achdus among all of our talmidim,” said Director of Student Activities Elie Hirt. “It also provides additional opportunities for talmidim to spend time with one another and their rebbeim outside the classroom.”
