On Sunday, December 16th, the MTA Varsity Basketball Lions matched up against the Waterbury Wolfpack at the Max Stern Athletic Center, in a game which promised excitement. Starting from the tip-off, the Lions were in control with Eitan Pfeiffer (‘19) scoring the first seven points of the game, and the Lions didn’t let up.  Although the Wolfpack did make strides to come back, the Lions were still able to control the tempo of the game and were in the lead at halftime. The second half was a repeat of the first half with MTA in control of the game, and in the end, the scoreboard highlighted the Lions’ victory, with a final score of 51-36. The Lions’ win was a full team effort and they were led in the scoring category by Eitan Pfeiffer with a team high of 24 points and Eitan Warburg (‘19) with 12.  Stay tuned as the Lions partake in a JV and Varsity doubleheader this Motzei Shabbos, December 22nd at TABC.
