MTA Varsity Softball Lions Defeat Frisch Cougars

Coming off of a loss, tie, and many rained out games, the MTA Lions Varsity Softball team arrived at their game on Wednesday, May 12th with a hunger to win against Frisch. Coming into the game, coach Rabbi Konigsberg pumped up the team, encouraging great play and the win. In the first 2 innings, the game went dry for the Lions, who grounded out and into the gap and advanced on a tag up to second base on a high pop fly by Junior Avi Fessel, which was caught by Frisch. Junior Eitan Warum walked and then all the scoring started. Junior Shmuel Rosenthal hit a hard hit line drive to right field that scored Book and Warum. That was all the Lions needed. Although Frisch scored a worthless run in the 5th inning, MTA held on to grab their first of what will hopefully be many wins this season.
