Our Annual College Night Was A Huge Success!

Our Virtual College Night on Tuesday was a huge success! With more than 120 Juniors and parents in attendance as well as representatives from 28 different colleges across the United States and Israel, this program provided a comprehensive overview of the college application process. During the first part of the program, we introduced two exciting initiatives that will help strengthen college applications for our talmidim. Our English Department has partnered with TheWriteWay.ink, a consulting service that helps students craft personal statements, which will work with our talmidim individually and in groups to create strong personal statements. This work will also help talmidim meet the writing requirements for their English classes. Our College Guidance Department also shared that talmidim can now provide important feedback on the reports that their College Guidance Advisors submit on their behalf. Talmidim can designate teachers and administrators that they believe will speak powerfully on their behalf, and these teachers will then provide anecdotal reports to our College Guidance Department, which will be submitted to the colleges that the talmidim are applying to. During the second half of the program, talmidim and their families were able to visit with and learn about a broad range of colleges - from open enrollment community colleges to the most selective, public and private colleges, as well as  liberal arts, technical, local, distant, domestic, and international colleges. The college recruiters were pleased to meet our talmidim and our talmidim and parents were excited to get started on the college application process. Over the next few weeks, Talmidim and their parents will begin their college guidance meetings, take the SAT or ACT, and start working on their personal statements. Everyone is energized and ready to get started on building their futures!
