Beren Campus Open House Highlighted Academic Programs and Student Life

Nov 21, 2005 -- More than 200 prospective students gathered on Yeshiva University’s Beren Campus in Midtown Manhattan on Nov. 20 to learn about academic programs at Stern College for Women and Sy Syms School of Business. Photos of the event are available here. The day featured opening remarks by YU President Richard M. Joel and greetings from Dr. Ephraim Kanarfogel, chairman, Rebecca Ivry Department of Jewish Studies; Ira Jaskoll, interim dean, Sy Syms School of Business; and Karen Bacon, The Dr. Monique C. Katz Dean of Stern College. Prospective students had the chance to meet faculty and students and learn about the various majors available. Also on the schedule were sessions about the Rebbeca Ivry Department of Jewish Studies, the S. Daniel Abraham Honors Program, campus life, financial aid, and the S. Daniel Abraham Israel Program. They also had the chance to hear from alumnae and take tours of residence halls. Representatives from the Office of Student Affairs were on hand to discuss campus life.
