Dean Pearl Berger to Speak at Library of Congress November 9

-- Pearl Berger, dean of libraries, will speak at a Nov. 9 symposium marking the 350th anniversary of Jewish settlement in America at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. Co-sponsored by the Library of Congress and Baltimore Hebrew University, the conference, "The State of Jewish Learning in America," features two sessions. Dean Berger will speak about "Jewish Libraries and Archives in America" during the second session. "I will discuss the achievements of the past and the challenges for the future in terms of the growth and development of libraries and archives," Dean Berger said. The daylong symposium begins at 10 am and ends at 4:30 pm.
