High Turnout at the Mega Challah Bake

The YU community – students, faculty, friends and family -- gathered together at Koch Auditorium on Beren Campus for this year’s Mega Challah Bake. For the more than 250 participants, the event was an exciting way to join an inspiring global movement – the annual Shabbat Project in which Jews from all walks of life and from all corners of the globe come together to celebrate and keep one full Shabbat. Organized by YU’s International Club for the third consecutive year, Mega Challah Bake 2019 featured guest speakers Charlene Aminoff, CEO of Gali’s Wigs, and Sarah Encaoua-Guigue, a well-known Instagram influencer, both of whom shared their thoughts on the mitzvah of challah.
