In Memoriam: Nechama Rivlin

Nechama Rivlin
The YU community joins all of Israel in mourning the passing of Nechama Rivlin, the wife of Israel’s President Reuven Rivlin. The beloved first lady of Israel and a trusted adviser to her husband throughout his political career, Nechama worked as a scientific researcher at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in the departments of zoology, ecology and genetics before retiring in 2007. As Israel’s first lady, she focused her efforts on the arts, the environment and children with special needs. Her warmth and infinite love for the State of Israel were exceptional. Heartfelt condolences go out to her husband, President Reuven Rivlin; her three children—Rivka, Anat and Ran; and seven grandchildren. May her memory be for a blessing. יהי זכרה ברוך
