Katz School, ISACA Partner on Cybersecurity Careers

The Katz School of Science and Health is partnering with ISACA, a global learning organization and technology association, to provide Katz students with educational, training and networking opportunities for cybersecurity careers. ISACA will offer its CSX Cybersecurity Practitioner (CSX-P) certification and one-year ISACA student membership at a discount to Katz students, who will also be able to participate in networking and mentorship opportunities through the ISACA New York Metropolitan Chapter. In addition, faculty and the ISACA chapter will conduct workshops, conferences, seminars and other events to share ideas, knowledge and best practices. “The relationship with ISACA is an important opportunity for Yeshiva University students to network with industry professionals, as well as enable them to get industry-recognized cybersecurity certifications from a trusted global leader,” said Dr. Paul Russo, dean of the Katz School and vice provost. “We are excited to help launch this innovative and groundbreaking initiative that has resulted in a collaborative partnership offering a plethora of opportunities to Yeshiva University students and ISACA members,” said Karen Alexander, president of the chapter. ISACA works with academic institutions, nonprofits, industries and government entities to address the cybersecurity skills gap by preparing diverse cybersecurity professionals through education, training and professional development opportunities to make a meaningful difference within the global cybersecurity community. “As a global learning organization, ISACA is excited to partner with the Katz School of Science and Health and our ISACA New York Metropolitan Chapter to develop a strong, ethical cybersecurity workforce,” said Nader Qaimari, ISACA chief product officer. “Through our collaboration, we will ensure Yeshiva University graduates are well positioned for impactful careers in cybersecurity.” For information on how the Katz School is making the world smarter, safer and healthier, learn more about the master’s program in cybersecurity.
