Lamport Auditorium Filled with Hanukkah Revelers

Dec 10, 2004 -- More than 1,000 people attended the Annual J & R Music and Computer World Hanukkah Concert held in Lamport Auditorium in Zysman Hall on the third night of Hanukkah. Yeshiva University's undergraduate student councils organized the concert, which featured some of the most popular names in Jewish music today-- Yacov Shwekey, Shlomo Simcha, Srully Williger, Yacov Young and Dovid Gabay. One of the highlights was the performance by Jakie Young, a 12-year-old singer, who got the crowd on its feet with his powerful performance. The renowned Neginah Orchestra provided musical accompaniment. Hanukkah Concert photo gallery Concert organizers were Dudie Silberman, Yummy Schachter, Adam Melzer, Ephraim Shapiro, Ayal Frist, Danny Ackerman and numerous student volunteers. Proceeds of the concert will go to support Hatzolah Israel.
