Ohr Chaim Knights 60 - Eshkol Lions 31

New York, NY, Mar 18, 2004 -- When Ohr Chaim of Toronto was seeded 17th in the tournament, fans of the Knights were quick to express their displeasure. Ohr Chaim's performance today proved their fans were right, blowing out Eshkol (Baltimore), 60-31, in the opening game of the 2004 Red Sarachek Tournament. Ohr Chaim earns the right to qualify for the second tier tomorrow, when it will play one of the losers from the Tier I qualifying games. That game will be played at TABC and will not be broadcast live. Eshkol will sit out tomorrow, playing Saturday night at the Max Stern Athletic Center, which can be heard live at www.macslive.com. With their parents in attendance, making the trek from Toronto, Daniel and Josh Guttenberg were the stars of the game. Guard Daniel led all scorers with 12 points, and forward Josh contributed with his tight post defense and strong rebounding. Daniel was given player-of-the-game honors by MacsLive.
