Cardozo's Barry Scheck in the News for His Role in "Conviction" "Conviction," a feature film based on Betty Anne Waters’ two-decade fight to free her brother after he served 18 years in prison for a murder he did not commit, opens Oct. 15 in select theaters. Barry Scheck, professor of law at YU's Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and director of the Innocence Project, assisted Ms. Waters in the case and has appeared on Larry King Live to discuss the film, wrongful conviction and the Innocence Project.
