In the spring 2024 semester, the Straus Center is offering numerous courses for Straus Scholars and Yeshiva University undergraduate students to study the great texts and traditions of Judaism and the West.

On December 13, 2023, the Straus Center hosted Jack Miles for a virtual talk about his Pulitzer Prize-winning book God: A Biography, which was the focus of a Straus Scholars fall reading group led by Rabbi Dr. Dov Lerner and Dr. Shaina Trapedo.

The Straus Center convened a series of seminars by Israeli scholars, journalists, ethicists and public figures at the Menachem Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem, and the students conducted volunteering missions on behalf of soldiers, children, and families.
