Sweat 4 Tzedakah

“Sweat 4 Tzedakah” was an idea developed by Bella Adler ’20S to create programming for Jewish engagement on the Beren Campus. The organizers rented out two premier exercise studios in midtown—FlyWheel Sports and 305 Fitness—and hosted one workout class in each on two Monday nights in September. Each class was all Stern students, led by a professional instructor. Students RSVP’d in advance for the discounted classes, and 50% of proceeds were donated to a Jewish cause. These two classes raised over $750 for Sharsheret! Torah Activities Council and the Stern College for Women Student Council, the two student groups who co-sponsored this event, are so grateful for the opportunity to create experiences that allow students to be fit and healthy and engage in community-wide experiences that ultimately give back to the Jewish world at large.
